Adani Cement, Coolbrook partner for green heat tech

Adani Cement is teaming up with Coolbrook, a clean-tech company from Finland.

Together, they’re bringing the world’s first commercial version of a green heating technology to Adani’s cement plant in Boyareddypalli, Andhra Pradesh.

The aim is to cut carbon emissions and move closer to Adani’s net-zero goal by 2050.

What’s going on: Coolbrook builds clean energy machines that replace fossil fuels in heavy industries like cement, steel, and chemicals.

Under this deal, Adani Cement will deploy RotoDynamic Heater (RDH) technology, a high-temperature electric heater. It can reach around 1,000°C, enough to replace coal-based heat used in cement production.

In simple terms, it uses renewable electricity instead of burning fossil fuels, slashing emissions during the most polluting stage of cement making.

The first installation will run entirely on Adani’s green power portfolio and is expected to cut 60,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually, with potential to increase tenfold.
