AXISCADES Technologies has signed a deal with France’s Electronic Bird Control to introduce E-Raptor drones in India.
The drone is a new generation of falcon-inspired UAVs designed for both defence and civilian use.
What’s going on: the E-Raptor combines biomimetic engineering technology that imitates nature with advanced UAV systems to deliver stealth and agility.
It will be used for surveillance, reconnaissance, airport bird control, and wildlife management. The companies plan to localise production in India under the Make in India initiative.
FYI, this partnership is the latest in AXISCADES’ growing drone push. Just last week, the company tied up with another French defence firm to develop anti-drone laser systems for the Indian Army.
Before that, AXISCADES also bagged an order from the armed forces to supply man-portable counter-drone systems.
Broader perspective: India’s new-generation drone market is driven by a mix of defence modernisation, agriculture automation, logistics, and surveillance needs.
The market, valued at around $1.4 billion in 2024, is expected to cross $13 billion by 2030, growing at a rate of nearly 35%.
