Blue Cloud Softech Solutions has another AI deal on its books. Its US arm, Global Impx Inc., has received a $15.5 million order from IBM Cloud Inc. to build the systems needed to develop and run AI models.
The stock rallied over 10% on the back of this news.
What will it do: Global Impx will put together groups of powerful computers that can handle the heavy work of training a model. It will also provide fast data storage and networks so those computers can work together without slowing down.
The setup will support the model at different stages, from initial development and training to fine-tuning it for a specific task. It will also handle inference, which is what happens when someone uses the finished model and gets a response.
The order also includes software to coordinate them, tools to monitor how they’re performing, security measures and backups so the service can recover if something goes wrong.
