Diamond Power Infrastructure has bagged an order worth ₹748 crore from Adani Green Energy Limited for supplying power and solar cables to its Khavda and Rajasthan projects.
The company produces cables, conductors, transformers, and transmission towers and offers turnkey EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) services for power projects.
What is the order about: the order is to supply 2,126 km of 33KV high-voltage cables and 3,539 km of 3.3KV solar medium-voltage cables.
For context, a 2,126 km of 33 kV high-voltage cable is enough to transmit power for about 10-12 lakh homes.
While 3,539 km of 3.3 kV solar medium-voltage cables can power inside 50+ large solar parks at a time.
Why this matters: with these transmission lines, Adani Green Energy will be able to transmit power from the world’s largest renewable energy park in Khavda, Kutch to regions where clean energy is needed.
