Kalyani Strategic Systems has secured a ₹250 crore order from the Ministry of Defence.
Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL) is the defence arm of Bharat Forge that designs and manufactures armoured vehicles, ammunition, and defence electronics.
The deets: the order covers unmanned and marine systems and is expected to be completed by November 2026. The company said it’s focusing on strengthening its underwater technology, naval guns, and marine equipment to better support future Navy missions.
Why it matters: India is accelerating domestic defence production under its Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, and KSSL’s latest order cements its role as a key player in homegrown defence manufacturing.
Over the past five years, KSSL has steadily built its expertise in unmanned marine systems, a sector gaining major traction globally. The company has already supplied autonomous underwater vehicles to the Indian Navy, marking its growing presence in underwater warfare and surveillance technology.
