Ultraviolette has raised $45 million in its Series E funding round, with investments from Zoho Corporation and Italy-based investor Lingotto.
Ultraviolette builds high-performance electric motorcycles and the software that powers them, with a focus on smart connected features, battery technology, and fast-charging capability .
What’s poppin’: this fundraise comes at a time when EV makers are chasing fresh capital to scale up manufacturing, strengthen supply chains, and expand to global markets.
It also lines up with Ultraviolette’s push to ramp up deliveries of its X-47 crossover motorcycle, as demand in the category picks up.
Alongside this, the company is working to widen its footprint both within India and internationally. This comes as competition in the electric two-wheeler space heats up, with more brands fighting for the same set of customers.
