Ever wanted to own a piece of Apple, Nvidia or Tesla without leaving your investing app? Well, that's now possible.
Dhan has launched access to US-listed stocks and ETFs for Indian investors through the GIFT City framework.

Let's understand what GIFT City actually is. Think of it as India's gateway to global markets, a regulated platform that makes it easier for Indian investors to access international stocks and other global investment opportunities.
This means Indian investors can now buy shares of companies listed on the Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange directly through the Dhan app, in a structure that complies with RBI and FEMA regulations.
Why does this matter: until now, investing in US markets often involved multiple platforms, paperwork and a less seamless experience.
With this launch, investors can hold both Indian and US stocks in one place, making it easier to diversify across two of the world's largest stock markets.
What's in it for investors: Dhan has partnered with ViewTrade for brokerage services and GlomoPay for payment infrastructure to facilitate these investments. The platform will also offer features such as SIPs in US stocks and ETFs, portfolio tracking tools and advanced order types.
The bigger trend: as more Indian investors look beyond domestic markets, global investing is becoming increasingly mainstream. And with technology making cross-border investing simpler than ever, owning a slice of Wall Street is no longer limited to large investors.
