Wealthy has raised ₹130 crore in its Series B round led by Bertelsmann India Investments.
Wealthy, founded in 2015, offers a digital platform where independent financial advisors can sell mutual funds, insurance, deposits, bonds, and other investment products.
What’s poppin’: the company wants to scale its AI-powered platform for mutual fund distributors.
Even though India’s wealth management market is expected to double to ₹200 trillion by FY29, many small mutual fund agents still struggle. They lack the digital tools, single-window platforms, and product access needed to compete with big banks and large financial institutions.
Why it matters: India’s wealth population isn’t one-size-fits-all. Each segment, ultra-rich, middle class, and young digital users has very different financial needs. But most wealth management services still serve them with outdated, limited tools.
This mismatch explains why India’s wealth management market is growing fast and why modern, tech-driven platforms like Wealthy are gaining momentum. They can fill the gaps for underserved groups, especially the massive middle class and emerging digital-first investors.
