Xovian Aerospace has raised $2.5 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Piper Serica and Turbostart.
The company develops satellite infrastructure that provides Radio Frequency insights using AI to process information.
The why: the startup will use the capital to expand the company’s engineering team and develop a constellation of nanosatellites that will provide real-time radio frequency signals.
This data will have wide-scale applications in the fields of aviation, maritime, military, BFSI, space research, and climate tech.
The big picture: India’s share in the global space economy is 2% or $8.4 billion, which the government envisions to scale to $44 billion by 2033. Aligning with these targets and the government's push, the company is set to make its mark with its AI-powered solutions in this rapidly growing ecosystem.
