Adani Green Q1 Profit Rises 31% YoY ☀️

Adani Green Energy posted a strong set of Q1FY26 numbers, with profit and revenue surging both YoY and sequentially, driven by capacity additions and higher energy sales.

By the numbers:

  • Profit jumped 31% YoY to ₹824 crore from ₹629 crore and more than doubled QoQ, up 115% from ₹383 crore.
  • Revenue grew 47% YoY to ₹3,312 crore from ₹2,258 crore and rose 24% from ₹2,660 crore in Q4FY25.

The how: operational capacity soared 45% YoY to 15.8 GW, with 4.9 GW added over the past year. The company also reported a 42% YoY spike in energy sales, reaching 10,479 million units, more than the total for all of FY22.

The company commissioned 3,763 MW of solar plants this quarter, including 2,463 MW in Khavda (Gujarat), 1,050 MW in Rajasthan, and 250 MW in Andhra Pradesh. It also operationalised 585 MW of wind and 534 MW of hybrid power capacity.

As per the company, it is on track to hit our 2030 goal of 50 GW of renewable energy capacity, including at least 5 GW of pumped hydro and battery storage.

Big theme: as of mid-2025, India has installed over 130 GW of renewable capacity, with solar leading the way, followed by wind and hydro. The government has set an ambitious target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, in line with its climate commitments.

Solar parks are popping up across Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh, while offshore wind is picking up interest too. Big players like Adani Green, Tata Power, and ReNew are scaling up capacity with mega-projects and hybrid energy parks that combine solar, wind, and storage.
