Deep-tech robotics startup Armatrix raised $2.1 million in pre-seed funding, led by pi Ventures, with support from several other investors.
What it does: Armatrix builds snake-like robots that can work safely in tight and dangerous industrial spaces.
Why this matters: the company wants to replace humans in dangerous, confined industrial spaces, across shipbuilding, nuclear, oil & gas, and aviation, where inspection and maintenance can be life-threatening.
With the global robotics maintenance market valued at $41.6 billion in 2023 and projected to hit $150 billion by 2032, the opportunity is massive.
This fundraise helps Armatrix fast-track its highly flexible, AI-powered robotic arm technology, and scale deployments.
