Can Snitch repeat its menswear success with Berrylush?

D2C fashion brand Snitch has fully acquired women's fashion label Berrylush, marking its entry into the women's apparel segment as it expands beyond menswear.

Founded in 2018, Berrylush caters to Gen Z and millennial women with affordable fashion.

The deets: instead of launching a women's brand from scratch, Snitch has acquired one with an established customer base, brand recognition and supply chain.

The deal gives it an immediate foothold in India's women's apparel market, which is projected to exceed $121 billion by 2034, growing at an annual rate of 2.71% between 2026 and 2034.

Why it matters: Snitch has built a strong position in men's fashion through fast product launches, trend-driven collections, creator-led marketing and a robust D2C strategy. It is now taking the same playbook to a much larger market.

India's women's fashion market is significantly bigger than the men's segment, but it is also far more fragmented. By acquiring Berrylush, Snitch gains an existing customer base, brand recall and an established distribution network, allowing it to scale much faster than if it had built a new brand from scratch.

If it can replicate even part of its success in menswear, this could become one of the most significant acquisitions in India's D2C fashion space.

Some numbers: Snitch closed FY26 with operating revenue of ₹900 crore, up about 80% from ₹498 crore a year earlier.

The company is also expanding its quick commerce business through Snitch Quick, which operates in Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurugram and Ahmedabad. The channel already contributes around 10% of its online revenue.

Looking ahead, Snitch is targeting ₹1,400 crore in revenue for FY27 as it continues to expand both its retail footprint and online business.
