Hexaware joins Claude's elite global club

Hexaware shares jumped 9% intraday after becoming one of the few companies globally authorised to sell Anthropic's Claude AI models.

What's going on: Hexaware has become an authorised reseller for Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Web Services' AI platform. This means businesses can now buy Claude through Hexaware instead of dealing directly with Anthropic or building everything themselves.

But Hexaware won't just sell access. It will help companies integrate Claude into their operations, customise it for industry-specific use cases, connect it with existing software, and manage the entire AI deployment from start to finish.

The company will also offer advanced features like retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), custom prompts and domain-specific tuning to make Claude more accurate and useful for each business.

Why this is big: a very few companies globally have been authorised to resell Claude.

Anthropic and Amazon typically select partners that already have strong enterprise AI capabilities, a proven AWS partnership and the ability to securely deploy AI solutions for large businesses.

Hexaware already works with global clients across industries like banking, healthcare, manufacturing and retail, making it a strong fit.

Why is this important: Anthropic builds Claude, but it doesn't have thousands of consultants to implement the AI model for every enterprise customer.

Instead, it relies on partners like Hexaware to sell, customise, integrate and support Claude for businesses worldwide. That puts Hexaware in a select group of companies helping enterprises adopt AI at scale, creating a much bigger opportunity than simply selling AI subscriptions.
