Lloyds Engineering partners Virtualabs for radar tech

Lloyds Engineering has formed a partnership with Italy-based Virtualabs to co-develop advanced radar technologies.

VirtuaLabs S.r.l. is an Italy-based company that designs and builds advanced radar and electronic warfare systems, along with simulation software for defence operations across land, air, sea and space.

What this means: advanced radar technologies are systems that use radio waves to detect objects even when they’re far away or hidden by clouds, fog, or darkness. It helps improve safety, navigation, and decision-making across industries.

This technology will be deployed in defense and civil applications. 

Broader strategy: the announcement comes just days after Lloyds signed two contracts with a Poland-based firm, underscoring its plan to expand into Western markets and strengthen its portfolio with specialised, advanced engineering solutions.
