Why AXISCADES is selling part of its business?

Defence engineering giant AXISCADES Technologies announced the sale of parts of its engineering services business to Akkodis for $30.6 million, as it sharpens its focus on aerospace manufacturing and products.

Akkodis is a global engineering and tech consulting firm with over 40,000 experts across 30+ countries.

Here’s the deal: Akkodis will fully acquire AXISCADES’ engineering services business catering to the heavy engineering, energy, and automotive sectors in a transaction valued at around $30.6 million. The acquisition is expected to close by Q3 2027, subject to regulatory approvals.

Why this matters: the deal marks a key step in AXISCADES’ “Power 930” strategy, which aims to transform the company from a traditional engineering services player into a high-tech aerospace and defence manufacturing business.

The funds from the sale will help expand its Devanahalli Atmanirbhar Complex (DAC) and Missile Atmanirbhar Complex (MAC), while also supporting investments in aerospace engineering, AI, electronics, sensors, MRO services, and other high-margin manufacturing businesses.

The company says the move will free up both capital and management bandwidth, allowing it to scale faster in aerospace and defence. Employees moving to Akkodis could also gain exposure to larger global engineering projects and international opportunities across 30+ countries.
