Ramky Infrastructure jumped 12% after bagging a ₹1,401.84 crore EPC order from Maharashtra Industrial Township for the Dighi Port Industrial Area project in Raigad.
Breaking it down: the contract covers end-to-end process of key infrastructure including roads, bridges, water supply systems, sewage networks, stormwater drainage, power distribution, ICT infrastructure, and a water treatment plant.
The project is expected to be completed in 930 days, followed by a four-year operations and maintenance period, which can be extended by up to six more years.
Why it matters: Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited (MITL) is the key developer of the Dighi Port Industrial Area (DPIA) in Raigad and plays a central role in building the entire industrial ecosystem around the port.
It is a special purpose vehicle backed by the Government of India and the Maharashtra government. The larger goal is to turn the area around Dighi Port into a major manufacturing and logistics hub.
